We will hear from the Hope Squad team, the Director of Education & former Principal Tam Larnerd, and a Peer-to-Peer Student panel. We also will hear from a Parent Peer who is on the other side of their child’s mental health crisis. The discussion will cover topics from courage to ask for help/consejos para enseñar a los niños a pedir ayuda, diversity/divirsidad, mental health and tips for setting realistic goals this school year/consejos para establecar metas realists este año escolar and bullying.
We’ve also updated SEPTA’s mental health page with a Parent Guidance link- a free resource from the Cook Center for Human Connection. ParentGuidance.org is an online service by licensed therapists that provides trusted and specialized courses, professional support and a safe community for parents to learn how to support their children and get answers to mental health questions.
