SEPTA friends, please join us for our next monthly meeting on Thursday, October 13, 7-8:30 pm at the Syphax Education Center. We’ll discuss SEPTA’s annual mini-grant program, which features awards of up to $500 for teachers of students with an IEP or 504 plan in Arlington Public Schools. We’ll provide information about this year’s revamped criteria for the grants, and some of the grant recipients from last year will talk about their mini-grant projects. As a special bonus, all teachers attending the meeting will be gifted a membership to SEPTA!
Also featured at the October meeting will be a presentation from Catina Claytor, Arlington Public Schools’ coordinator for Medicaid billing. Parents are asked at their children’s IEP meetings whether they will consent to the school’s billing a public insurance provider for certain services provided under the IEP. Come hear about what this common request means, and get your questions about Medicaid billing in APS answered!
As always, parking is free, snacks will be provided, and children are welcome!
See you on the 13th at the Syphax Education Center, 2110 Washington Blvd., Suites 101, 103, Arlington, VA 22204.
