   Dr. Murphy, There is a serious problem within APS with lack of consistency across the schools. Central office will say one thing but many schools do the opposite. Will you commit to addressing this problem by providing clear transparent written directives and by holding school administrators responsible for following it?

   Dr. Murphy — What should parents do if they encounter a special education related problem at their school, and it can’t be worked out at the school level?

   Follow up to the second question – please don’t just tell us to go to the PRC when there is a problem at the school level. While the PRC is a wonderful resource, when I have sent parents to them when there is a serious and systemic problem with the administration at our school, the PRC has not been able to help. Who should parents approach who has the authority to fix problems at the school level?
